Terms of use
These terms are an agreement between you and DNA TECHBASE S.R.L. ("we", "us"), Aleea Romanilor Nr. 23, Bl. 12, Sc. 2, Ap. 107, Deva, Hunedoara, Romania (trade register J2025048383009, CUI 52084942), for the use of My Pocket Library on the web, iOS and Android. By creating an account or using the app you accept them. The privacy policy explains what we store about you.
The service
My Pocket Library is a personal reading tracker: a bookshelf you arrange yourself, with book details looked up from public catalogues, photos you add, notes you write, and an Atlas that turns the pages you have read into a journey. It is provided for your personal, non-commercial use.
What it costs
My Pocket Library is free. There are no in-app purchases, no subscriptions and no advertising. If that ever changes we will say so in the app before it applies to you.
Your account
You need an account (email and password, Google, or Apple) and you are responsible for keeping its sign-in to yourself. You must be at least 16 years old. You can delete your account at any time from Profile → Delete account — or, before you have confirmed your email address, from the verification screen — which erases your library, photos and profile for good. We ask you to confirm it is you first.
Your content
The books, notes, photos and arrangements you add remain yours. You give us the licence needed to store them and show them back to you, and nothing more; we do not publish, share or use your content for anything else. You are responsible for what you add: do not upload material that you have no right to use or that is unlawful.
Catalogue data and images
Book details and cover images are fetched from Google Books and Open Library and belong to their respective owners. They are shown for identification of the books in your library. We do not guarantee that they are accurate or complete, and you can correct any detail on the book's card.
AI cover reading
"Ask AI to read the cover" sends your cover photo to Google's Gemini API through our server to read the title and author. It is a best-effort aid: the result is offered to you to accept or reject and is never applied on its own. The feature depends on a third-party service and may be unavailable at times.
Acceptable use
Do not try to access other readers' data, interfere with the service, reverse-engineer the apps beyond what the law allows, or use automated means to load the service beyond normal personal use. We may suspend or close an account that does.
Availability and changes
We work to keep the service running but do not promise uninterrupted availability. We may change or discontinue features; if we ever discontinue the service, we will give notice in the app and by email so that you can take a copy of your data.
Warranty and liability
The service is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses, or for losses caused by events outside our reasonable control. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, and nothing removes the rights you have as a consumer under the law of the country where you live.
App stores
If you installed the app from the App Store or Google Play, Apple's or Google's terms for those stores also apply. Apple and Google are not responsible for the app or for these terms.
Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the law of Romania. If you are a consumer in the EU, you keep the protection of the mandatory rules of your own country, and you may use the European Commission's online dispute resolution platform. We would rather hear from you first: contact@dnatechbase.com.
Changes to these terms
When these terms change, the new version is posted here with a new effective date, and material changes are announced in the app. Continuing to use the app after that means you accept the new terms.
